
Workshops No poverty
The teachers of the youngest pre-schoolers were inspired by the Djapo website. They also used some picture books to address the theme of poverty.

For the oldest toddlers, some picture books on the theme of poverty were used.
The suitcase of children’s rights was also installed.


In the first grade we did a collaboration with Art academy Eeklo. They gave several drama workshops on the theme of poverty.
In the afternoon, each class worked on the picture book about Robby and his friends. This book can be ordered at the website of Welzijnszorg.

In the afternoon Studio Globo came to give a workshop on ‘no poverty’.

In the third grade there were several workshops.

One group went to Wijkcentrum De Kring in Eeklo to play an empathy game about poverty.

Another group went to the Koperen Leeuw, a theater in Eeklo. There they did a drama lesson about poverty. This was given by a drama teacher.

In the afternoon, the students played a court game in their own class.
Workshops with the whole school
- Fifth and sixth grade make a presentation about the fifteen poorest countries in the world (Tuvalu, Palau, Kiribati, Gambia, Burundi, Dominican Republic, Tonga, Marshall Islands…) and present it to the other classes of the primary.
- A charity walk through various places in the village to collect money for a charity that fights hunger.
